Along with struggling to achieve year round comfort, the cost of running the oil furnace plus a/c has a major impact on the budget. My apartment has twenty-five windows of assorted sizes. Many of them were painted shut plus all of them were single pane plus super old! Replacing them was an overpriced project, especially since I wanted to purchase Energy Star rated, thermal pane options. Most of the windows required custom ordering due to their strange sizes. I started replacing the windows 1 at a time plus l gained how to complete the replacement on my own. It took myself and others over five years to finally have all modern windows in the home. I have observed a significant improvement in comfort plus utility costs. There is far less temperature fluctuation from 1 room to another.The oil furnace plus a/c no longer need to run as often or as long.
