My husband and I had been wanting to get the air conditioning fixed in our car for quite some time, but we kept putting it off because of how expensive it was going to be.
We had driven the car without air conditioning for about a year, and it was miserable.
We live down south, and it is warm for most of the year. It hardly gets below fifty degrees here. We use air conditioning all the time, especially during the summer months. It was so hard to go without air conditioning this past summer. You would think that driving around in a car without air conditioning when it was ninety degrees outside would cause us to go get our air conditioning fixed, but it didn’t. We were too stubborn. We did not want to pay the money to have it fixed. We finally caved in last September. It was still very warm outside, and we were about to take a road trip. We were going on vacation, but the resort that we were staying at was about five hundred miles northwest of where we live. My husband and I both knew that it would be a miserable trip if we did not get the air conditioning fixed before we went, so we took the car to a mechanic and had them replace the air conditioning line that was leaking. The mechanic ended up giving us a discount, so it did not cost as much as we thought it would. I really wish that we would have taken it sooner, but the past is in the past, I guess.
