I know like it’s actually easy to cool a space down compared to heating up a space. I swiftly realized this when I had a room in my loft that needed extra heat & not air conditioning. There are tons of portable fans & ceiling fans on the market for cooling, however the chances are limited with furnaces. There’s portable furnaces, however they seem dangerous to me. I don’t like the system of plugging in something that heats to a high temperature & then resting it on something. It sounds like a total fire hazard! I guess there are a lot of oil furnaces out there that have a safety feature that shuts the furnace off when it becomes overheated, although I don’t trust it. I need the extra heat in my study room, especially while I sleep. The last thing I want to do is go to sleep with the portable furnace running & then wake up to a fire. I’ve learn countless reviews about these oil furnaces on the market & most of them are excellent. I just can’t seem to relax about it though. I guess if I purchase a heat source & put it beside my bed, I’ll spend all night lying awake because of stress & anxiety. I never have to worry about a ceiling fan or A/C component burning my loft down. For now, I’m going to endure the chill in my study room & wait until I find something better. I may have to install a ductless component just for the heat.

I moved into what I thought was going to be my dream apartment.

• I had just moved to a up-to-date neighborhood & I found an condo that was in a desirable area with a lot of things I like to do doing.

I searched for several weeks for the perfect locale to stay & I was blissful when I finally found this a single. The location was so nice that I overlooked a single major thing about the apartment. The condo didn’t have central heat & air. Instead, there were several ductless mini split units that controlled the temperature of the whole locale. There was a single ductless component in the main kitchen & home office area, a single in the guest study room, & a single in the primary study room. I will admit that these several ductless mini split units do a great job at keeping these rooms temperature controlled, although I wish there was a single more mini split unit. You see, my condo has a split bathroom with the toilet in it’s own room & the shower & sink in the other. Normally, this is fine, however for me, this means there’s’ no heat & air in those areas. Thankfully there are fans for ventilation, however that’s it. Whenever I use the bathroom, I can’t close the door without it getting too hot. I didn’t guess it would be a sizable deal, however it’s proven to be a challenge. If I’m in there too long, there’s a lack of oxygen & it gets difficult to breathe, then like I said earlier, the only thing I can do to prevent this is leave the door open. Thankfully, I live alone.

Our loft was built a easily long time ago & there are a lot of things I wish I could change about it.

I wish there were several garages instead of a single, I wish the home office wasn’t so closed off, & I wish the washer & dryer were in a unusual location.

I love the location of my loft & I system on doing a renovation in the coming years, however for now, I’m living with the inconvenient things about it. However, if I could maintenance something right now it would be the washer & dryer location. For some different reason, the appliances were attached to a shared wall with the garage. This doesn’t sound so terrible, however the ventilation is terrible. Whenever I try to dry my clothes in the dyer, the air vent does a horrible job at removing the warm air. The condensation from the dryer heat builds up & it creates moisture on anything within a small radius. Obviously, any form of moisture in a loft is never nice so I can’t use the dryer. I’ve tried running a dehumidifier to eliminate the moisture buildup when drying clothes, however it doesn’t work that well. The only solution was for myself and others to line dry my clothes outside. This comes with other challenges as well, however it’s my only chance until I can have the dryer respectfully ventilated.

Yesterday was a bad day for me. I had an appointment with a heating & air conditioning contractor to have my oil furnace fixed. I have been having on & off problems with my gas furnace & I need to make sure that everything is nice with it before the Winter time comes. Both of us are in June now & we do not have easily many months left of the Fall before we will be headed straight into winter. As you can imagine, the A/C dealers are already tied up enough as it is, getting all the people’s oil oil furnaces ready for winter. So imagine my surprise & anger when yesterday my heating & A/C appointment never came. The Heating & A/C dealers never showed up! There’s excruciating maintenance & then there’s complete absence. In this case complete absence is worse, at least if they have been here they could have at least attempted to maintenance it. I called the Heating & A/C contractor to complain about their no-show, & came to find out the reason why they didn’t show up was because their Heating & A/C person had broken down alongside the road & they wouldn’t be able to make the appointment in time. So they rescheduled myself and others for a month from now, & provided myself and others a discount for the trouble. At least they attempted to write the wrong so that I am still unhappy that I now have to wait another month for another heating & A/C appointment.
