The good news is the HVAC industry is in high demand for HVAC workers, so Ann wouldn’t have to search long for a job. The more she worked, the higher her earnings. After some time, Ann can decide whether to stay in the industry or attend nursing school. Ann saw sense in this and chose to take her uncle’s advice. She got her HVAC certification and worked in the industry for 10 years. Later, she went to nursing school and is now a licensed nurse practitioner who can also fix her HVAC system. Even after leaving the HVAC industry, Ann still loves working on HVAC systems in her free time. She says this is a hobby and even helps her elderly neighbors out when they have HVAC problems.

For a long time, my family and I have taken summer vacations. We’d fly somewhere nice with a beach and enjoy the sun. This was all nice when the kids were young, but as they grow older, we seek more adventure. Last year, we opted to challenge ourselves, skip summer vacations, and head to somewhere new during winter. In the evening, the heating system would keep all of us comfy. However, one evening we returned after touring a nearby town and noticed the cabin felt chilly. My partner went to inspect the oil furnace and said something was wrong. This heating system was blowing less warm air into the house. Since it was late, the rental office was closed, so we had to ensure the chill and phone them in the morning. The best thing to do was layer up and use the 2 space heaters we had carried for the trip. It wasn’t such a bad evening since we all slept on the floor next to the fire and placed the heaters in the room. Early the following morning, I spoke with the rental agent about the faulty oil furnace in the cabin.

Beach front homes aren’t cheap, but knowing her determination in life, I never doubted she’d achieve her dream.
