I work as a heating and cooling technician and let me tell you that there are a lot of people do not take proper care of their heating and cooling systems, and the thing is with most of these issues that it’s easily avoidable.

Surprise how often I did not see people do something as simple as having their heating and AC system upgraded, maintained, and serviced.

Getting your heating and going upstairs really important, it prepares your heater or air conditioner for the seasons coming this following year and without it your heating AC system may not be able to handle the temperatures and may die on you during the hot summer months or the cold winter months. We see the most amount of people every year during the summer when everybody is rushing to get their air conditioning systems taken care of. However, many of these people could have waited and simply have their heating and AC system taking care of the spring before the hot weather came. But there are so many people that do not do this instead they wait until the very last minute or they wait until they’re heating and cooling system breaks down until they decide to do something about it. This is not a good way to care for your heating and cooling system. There is this common belief amongst many people that I talk to seem to think that he didn’t include workers just want you to have regard tune-ups to look at more money out of you but that’s going to be further from the truth! It’s especially true if you have an older heating and AC unit, upgrades and regular maintenance are key for it to have a long life.

I have a friend that has a problem with her heating and cooling system. She has been asking me for advice about her heating and AC system but for me it’s very annoying. I really do enjoy hanging out with my friend and I don’t mind helping her out. But the problem is, I give her advice and she just doesn’t listen! Like for instance just last week she was telling me how she has been having problems with the indoor air quality in her home. So she called me up on the phone and she was asking me for advice about what she thought I could do to take care of the indoor air quality issue. I told her to change her air filters if she hadn’t done so already, and if the indoor air quality was still bad that it might be something else that was causing the issue and she should look into getting something like a standing air purifier. I also mentioned that she had the option of getting a whole home air purification system if the problem was really bad and couldn’t be solved through other more inexpensive means. My advice but she didn’t even follow any of it! I called her again and told her to get the opinion of the heating and AC experts and she did that. I asked her what they said and she told me basically the same thing I said. I didn’t ask her why she didn’t take care of her indoor air quality problem? She told me it was too much of a hassle and she didn’t want to bother with it. So then I told her about the health effects of living in an environment with bad indoor air quality and she didn’t seem to care about that either! Don’t ask for help with your heating and a/c if you’re not going to try to fix it.

Let me tell you why it is important to regularly change out your HEPA filters. As you might imagine, your heating and AC filters are going to wear down with time. The best way to avoid them from wearing down and working less effectively is to routinely changed them. Most people do this with a disposable air filter but what about a HEPA filter? While HEPA filters may be specifically designed to catch the smallest pieces of bacteria and air particles and keep your indoor air quality clean. However, like with anything these filters do in time get dirty. As they get dirty and they start to wear down over the years they’re going to perform less and less. When they wear away they would eventually start allowing more dirt and bacteria into your home. That is definitely not something you want! So it is advisable to change out your HEPA filters too. I had to learn this lesson the hard way after I went a long period of time without changing my air filters at all. I had always had a problem with allergies until I got the HEPA filter. When I took out the filter to be inspected I really saw how dirty and worn it was from not being changed. Now I change my filters regularly and I have not had any issues since.

I will never forget the day that I met my wife.

It was a really hot day in my air conditioning system had just broken down and I was in need of a repair.

I had called three heating and AC businesses in my area only to find that all three of them were completely booked up. I was starting to feel defeated when I thought I would go ahead and try one more and see if I had any luck there, it was a heating and AC business that I had never tried before but if it meant that there was a chance that they could fix my air conditioning systems and I thought it was worth a try. Call the number of the HVAC company and to my surprise they were not booked up at all and even told me they could send out a technician that same day! When the heating and cooling professional arrived at my home to service my air conditioner, I noticed that this HVAC technician was a female Heating and cooling worker, something that is more rare in the HVAC industry. I thought it was pretty cool. She told me that my air conditioner has simply broken down due to the amount of heat outside. It became overwhelmed trying to cool the house and shut down. She did repair on the spot and then we ended up exchanging numbers. Interested in me and I was willing to give it a try. I wanted to see where this might lead. What do you believe now that 4 years later that same female heating and AC worker is not my wife?. How time flies, that ended up being the best heating and AC repair of my life.

What I was dating a few different guys I never imagined that I would end up marrying a heating and cooling technician. It just wasn’t something that crossed my mind. Not that there’s anything wrong with HVAC workers of course. But I suppose I had always imagined the different type of guy but I will never forget the day I met what would suit me my future husband. I started out as a bad day, and that was only because I was having problems with my air conditioning system. It was a very frustrating experience because up until this point my AC had had a perfect history and now it was broken down for seemingly no reason. Regardless I knew that there had to be a reason behind the breakdown and so I quickly called a heating and cooling company to have them come out and take a look at the issue. When the HVAC worker arrives I couldn’t help but to notice how attractive he was, on top of that he was very friendly and he usually struck up a conversation with me. I have to admit that I found myself completely forgetting about my air conditioning system and more focused on talking to the this guy that I just met. Was greatly relieved when he told me that my he and AC system was easily fixable and then he repaired it on the spot. I didn’t want him to leave and I ended up getting his number and the rest of the story from there is history. The best part of having the heating and cooling technician as your spouse is that you get free HVAC services. We don’t have our heating and air conditioning system break down very often but when we do it is nice to not have to call anybody and pay expensive repair fees. My husband even offers free repairs for family members.
